Can you see the light at the end of the tunnel?
We are on the home stretch of 2020!
Pandemic aside, this year has been like no other for me and my husband. We welcomed our daughter into the world and moved (again).
Because the year flew by for us, I wanted to take some time to reflect.
Reviewing your year
I first heard this idea on The Rachel Hollis Podcast but have taken it and made it my own over the last few years.
The basic idea is to carve out some time, sit down with an old fashioned pen and paper, and reflect on each month over the last year.
This can look however you want it to. You can pick a high point and a low point of each month, an accomplishment you achieved, a lesson you learned, your favorite memory. You can complete a list for your business and one for your personal life or combine them!
recalling
“Yeah Meridith that’s great, but I can’t even remember what I ate for breakfast let alone what I was doing back in April!”
First of all, you aren’t alone! A trick I use to jog my memory of months past is my resources! Look at the pictures on your phone, go through emails, your project management platform, social media, even your bank or credit card statement can help you recall!
Then go through month by month and reflect on your topic of choice. This could be a fun exercise to do with your life or business partner as well!
If you don’t know where you have been, it’s harder to get to where you want to go. So, take some time and look back over 2020 to prepare for where you want to go in 2021.
Do you have a different way you review your year? Tell me below I love hearing new ideas.
Rooting for you,
Meridith
